Add a grade and a weight to see your weighted grade.
How this calculator works
In a weighted course, each category (homework, quizzes, exams…) counts for a set share of the final grade. Multiply each category grade by its weight, add them up, and divide by the total weight.
Weighted grade = Σ(grade × weight) ÷ Σ(weight)
Example: homework 94% × 20, quizzes 86% × 15 and midterm 84% × 25 give (1880 + 1290 + 2100) ÷ 60 = 87.83% so far. If those weights are percentages of the course, 40% is still ungraded.
Weights can be percentages of the course or relative points (for example 1, 2, 3). If percentage weights add up to less than 100%, the result is your grade so far, and you can enter a target to see the average you need on the remaining work: needed = (target × 100 − Σ(grade × weight)) ÷ remaining weight.
